Today I spent a little time meandering around a neighborhood everyone loves: Lyon Village. It’s a close-in North Arlington that is walking distance to Clarendon. The houses are unique, historical, full of character, and expensive! I have friends that live here, and I used to bring my kids to the neighborhood park pictured here.
Doesn’t that gate just make you think you’re entering the Land of Oz? Well, read on…
The majority of homes in the neighborhood are priced over one million, and just about anyone who could afford it would gladly pay it to get in here. People don’t tend to move out of the neighborhood, rather around in it. These next two homes will be open tomorrow, and I highlight them here because they are priced in the low to mid $800’s. I know that one of the owners are simply moving into a bigger home down the block. They can’t bear to leave, though having a baby always pushes these things along.
Here are photos of the two Lyon Village homes that just hit the market yesterday.
And, for about the same amount of money, you could get a gorgeous 2 bedroom condo in this building called Lyon Hill:
I’ll be hosting an Open House in Lyon Village tomorrow, 1-4, lucky me! If you happen to be out snooping around, please stop by, I’d love to see you. I’ll be at 1530 N. Edgewood Street. It’s an up-to-date home built in 1992, so a little more “modern” than the other two homes pictured above. It’s listed for $1,250,000. Mapquest it and stop by ![]()
