Feeling a little insecure about money these days?
Lots of angst out there among homebuyers in Arlington about the availability of money to buy a home. Are loans still available? Are banks still in business? Is it even possible to qualify for a mortgage? Lots of concern and misinformation floating around these days.
To top it all off, there have been lots of changes recently to the requirements for a loan. Banks are getting more stringent in their qualifications and tougher about lending. Tougher as compared to five years ago. Just like the ole days, before they started giving you money to lend it from them, and then turned the tables so that you owed them more than you thought you would.
The headlines you don’t read
The money is out there. My two best lenders both reassure me that you can get the loan (depending on your credit score of course, as always). So if you think you might want to take advantage of some of the lowest prices and strongest negotiating positions buyers in Arlington have had in a very long time, here’s what to do:
- get ready (have the highest credit score you can)
- get set (have that financial info in order)
- go (talk to a lender, they don’t bite and they will give you extremely valuable information)
So show me the money, dag nab it!
I have four lenders that probably can. Just give me a shout and I’ll put you in touch.
